The Oconee Course
The Oconee Course was designed by Reese Jones in 2001 and features 7029 yards. The course rating is 73.4 and it has a slope rating of 136 on Bermuda grass.
The Oconee Course was among “America’s Top Golf Courses” as well as “Best Courses for Women” according to Golf For Women Magazine in 2006. Other awards include “America’s Top Golf Courses”– Zagat Survey 2007, “Best Residential Golf Courses”–GolfWeek Magazine 2007, and “100 Best Golf Shops in America”–GolfWorld Business Magazine 2006.
Some of the tournaments hosted there were the 2007 PGA Cup and the 2007 Chick-fil-A Bowl Alma Mater.
Surrounding communities include Parrott’s Place, Parrott’s Point, National Village at Brown’s Ford, Sugar Run, Lake Club Point and Village at Club Point.
